i was here for lunch but i know there's lot of people coming here for their egg tart (wait, that's my dessert part). i had a regular lunch set here as pork chop rice. it's a full and meaty meal, very good enough for the rest of the day. the pork chop was chopped so i didn't bother to cut and cut again, that's lovely. it also came with a sausage - old style that it's deep fried a little, very tasty! this place has a balcony which is very old hong kong style. the stairs is quite steep so be careful when you walk. a large picture hanged there was beautiful. ok, so let's go to the dessert part - the egg tart was indeed very nice. the filling was full and smooth, medium sweetness. layered pastry could be seen and it guaranteed the skill of the chef. this is definitely the thing they're proud of. follow me on ig: food.n.cats.not1less

Just taken 6 minutes of slow walk from where we just had lunch to have reached here. This place is well known for their egg tarts and other bakery stuffs. We ordered one each of egg tart, coconut tart and cocktail bun and a hot HK style milk tea each. The three baking at $9 a piece, comes to $27 and two teas for $44, the grand total of $71 for our afternoon tea dessert. The egg tarts were freshly baked at 3pm daily, so it was pipeping hot when it came to the table, it has a strong egg custard flavour, with a very flaky pastry, just as what I have expected for a good quality egg tarts. The coconut tart wasn't bad either, still very moist with a hint of coconut taste, and because it's still fresh so it's not crumbly at all. Last came the cocktail bun, my all time fravourite since young was not disappointing even having eaten already the two tarts earlier. All three are just nice in the sweetness department. Not like most of the western style baking items in most oversea countries, you would complaint about being "so sweet that your teeth will fall off" (甜到甩牙) is not the case here. This is not located in a tourist area but it is nice to venture out of your comfort zone to experience why the egg tarts and cocktail buns are the Hong- Konger's favorites.

This looks like a very old cha chaan teng(hk style cafe). It bakes its own bread and egg tarts. Ordered a tea set with hk milk tea, omelette with bun and cha siu spaghetti in soup for $51. Very typical tea set found in hk cafe. Milk tea was very good. Omelette and cha siu spaghetti were not bad. Finished off with a fresh flaky pastry egg tart (still quite hot). Egg tart was good too, not too sweet. I am not sure what the signature food dishes of this cafe are but a number of people were having pan fried pork chop with spicy salt. Maybe I shall try next time when I visit. The most impressive thing of this cafe was the cleanliness of it. The mirrors were sparkling clean and the sugar container was not greasy. A lot of other hk cafes weren’t very clean. I reckon people should give this cafe a go. PS bought two pineapple buns home at the end.

Was lucky enough to get an egg tart piping hot, and it was divine! Best traditional flaky crust egg tart I had in HK. In my view, better than the nearby gold garden. The other food I tried was nothing to shout about though. Maybe I don't get the dish, but the satay beef noodles tasted exactly like how it looked - instant noodles with some beef in satay sauce dumped in. Underwhelming for sure. Go for the egg tart!

Try their eggs tart since many given good comments about this restaurant. Could find a lot of egg provided and skin is very crispy. Is a good recommendation. Year later we back here again and take their afternoon tea set. Egg tarts is require to order separately. We order their 鲜油菠萝飽 set (cost HK$36). We find it just ok as the top surface not crispy and sweet. We have ordered the egg tarts again, find it standard doesn't drop, each tart cost HK$10. Never regret to recommend here!

Tried both different type of egg tart I am not big fans of 酥皮 egg tart but I would like to say it’s good 曲奇皮 egg tart is good but I am disappointed as the staff intend to pick up the broken edge tart to me Coffee is ok but would be great if it is more warm. Price not cheap based on size of the coffee but if you love egg tart (like me), you should come to try
